Videos about libraries. #22: 2013

Posted in on a + note by flickfancy on June 3, 2013

kitty#22I was looking at a few interesting videos about libraries this weekend…here are a few I thought you’d enjoy.

Happy viewing.

►From the mighty Calgary Public, a humorous musical celebration of their 100th  anniversary featuring the Heebee Jeebees

►Or the humorous library use video from the University of West Florida

►Or from Morrisville Public Library, their catchy “ how to get a library card” video

►Or the hilarious line dancing Roving Librarian with a lesson on improving customer service

► “ Welcome to the library” by the New Hanover County Library

►Or, how about “Who you Gonna call?” recorded at the home of the Library Lions, the iconic mother ship, the New York Public Library

Now, I would be the first to agree that some of these efforts are not video masterpieces. But they are interesting, mostly entertaining, and a brave attempt to reach a whole new audience. So to all those library land videographers, I commend your efforts, your creativity and your passion for all we do.

Keep your camera (or iPhone) rolling!
